Today, and Every day!

7:00 Wake up, get kids ready for school, get my self ready to take kids to school, feed baby breakfast.

8:20Cue neighbor boy for car pool and insane amounts of emotional drama.
8:38 Neighbor boy exits on account we are going to be late for school, ( which starts at 9;00 and let me state that we only live about 7 blocks from the school)

8:40 leave to drop kids off to school.
9:15 Dr appt. for Gabbi's 15 month check up.
10;00 Arrive in Independence for preschool open house.
11:45 Pick Gunnar up from AM kindergarten
12:00 Lunch Time and Nap time

12:45 I make a meal for my self and sit down to eat and the phone rings, or someone stops by, or the dog runs away, or hannah over flowed the toilet, or lee called and needs me to take him something, or ( you get the idea)

1:30 switch the laundry
2:00 Run dish water and try to decide what to make for dinner.
2:30 Hey lets have a play date. My house or yours? Lol ( I actually really love those days)
3:20 Oh crap I forgot I have to go pick up Emma at school. Its been really fun we should do it again. Hannah! Find your shoes we have to go....

4:00 Arrive home and switch the laundry.
4:15 "Mom I don't know how to do my homework?"
4:30 wash the silverwear that has been soaking for most of the day.

5:00 Start dinner
5:30 Call lee, "Honey where r u?" " When will you be home?"
6:00 Eat.!!!!!!!( if you didn't catch on before, my lunch is still sitting on the counter untouched from before due to ("insert any form of time consuming catastrophe that you find amusing")
6:01 Really it takes a few more minutes for the kids to finish up, but not much.
6:02 Kids out to play with the neighbor boys, so I am able to clean up the kitchen.

7:15 "Honey where r the kids?"
7:30 baths, jammies,bed time!!!!!!
8:00 Start or finish a sewing project. Oh man I forgot to switch the laundry again.
9:15 Off to the bed room to relax and watch a movie.

10:00 "Hey hon, you wanna "Snuggle"?" and as you can tell from the quotation marks I don;t really mean "snuggle" if you get my drift. (And I don't really think I should write this on the internet, but for now I find it somewhat entertaining)

There are a few minor adjustment that could be made to my daily routine. Things like actually finishing and folding the laundry, or perhaps going to the grocery store, (but these days I find is less like a chore due to the wonderful play land where I drop my kids off for two hours), post office, or many many different types of health care appointments, planning parties or get togethers for friends, church callings, Not to mention all of the small craft project or sewing I like to squeeze in every once in awhile :) This is not a post to complain or whine about my day to day routine, but just so you know how I was able to drop the baby weight, and why I don't blog, or why I am ok with my house not looking spotless, and sometimes even letting my kids leave the house not wearing shoes.

I yell at my kids, they get spanks and time outs, My dog is not house trained, ( and if any one is interested she is yours) ( not kidding) I am not good at keeping up on folding laundry, or dishes, my bedding only gets washed every 1-2 months unless we have some massive body explosion from one of the 4 monstrosities I call my kids, bathrooms, well i buy the really expensive clorox toilet bowl tablets," they r worth every penny" and mopping and sweeping is done when somebody has a bad attitude and needs it readjusted, or when Hannah finds the wipes and gets an itch to "Help"
I am not perfect! But am amazed that once in a blue moon have the appearance of such. I enjoy my life and I love my kids. My husband makes me happy, ( even after he plays ball and decides to wipe his dripping sweaty face all over mine) I do not want to try and be someone I am not. I don't want to make decisions based on the "Image" of someone I see. This is me in all my "imperfect glory". I hope you can all revel in yours.

Stuff I have made

This is a reminder to myself that even though a month and a half is missing out of my life, I still have a little to show for it.

Gabbi Turns 1

And mom turns 28 but who really cares when its your babies first birthday? Her favorite gift by far was the nesting cups we got at IKEA. This is the Birthday outfit I made for Gabbi to wear on her special day. ( we wore it the day after too) but shhhh don't tell anyone :) Since Gabbi was born on Cinco De Mayo we had a big combination mexican fiesta. Lots of mexican food, lots of friends, and thanks to Pandora Radio lots of Mexican tunes. It was alot of fun considering dad had a test to study for and take the next day.

Gabbi has grown and changed in her personality so much over the past year. It is crazy to look back at pictures of when we first moved and see that she really was still a new born at the time. She is the easiest baby in the world. I am so grateful to have her in my life.

I am still alive!

Why is it that when you get older time seems to move faster and faster? My life has been such a whirl wind of activity since May. For a rough over view we have had a first birthday (Gabbi) ,
( and mine as well but no one seems to remember after you have a baby the day after ) We have had T-ball and softball, and T-ball and softball and T-ball, and so on and so on, As well as a whole lot of crafting and sewing,. I will have a huge lot of photos to post soon, Also I feel like we have traveled across the entire United States and back, but in reality we made it as far as the midwest and back across to NY. Seen alot of family and some really cool sites. And we still have a month left before school starts ( for the kids ) Only a Month? See what I mean about time flying by! My Best friend Tiffany aka. The tiny seamstress has also been busy. I have been a bad friend lately and I haven't left her a comment in ages. Spring Quilt Market 2010!

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Minneapolis with my very best friend Tiffany to attend spring quilt market. She was showcasing her new line of bag patterns. We had such a great time. We met a lot of great people in the quilting and crafting world, perhaps you could call them professionals. It was a new experience for both of us and I must say we were able to hold our own pretty well. I do have to give a shout out over to Amy and miss Melda Dean for all the wonderful help they gave to us newbies. And to our new booth neighbor friends ( Hi Cara, Cathy, and Susan) And to everyone else who stopped by our booth, thanks for all the love. ( listen to me this sounds like a really great dedication, or a really bad speech at the Oscars) Any ways sad to say Tiffany has all the wonderful pictures from Market, but little does she know I have all the risque photos from the Hotel. :) LOL. Which I regret to inform you all I cannot show so If you would like to have a visual from all of said events, head on over to tinyseamstress.blogspot.com and check out her awesome Market post.

Time Out For Women

I had the opportunity to go to Time Out For Women in Pittsburgh this last weekend with a few friends. It was such a fun trip. I don't know if any of you have been before, but it is a little different. You go sort of thinking that is going to be like a fireside and it is, until everyone starts clapping and catcalling?! Talk about uninviting the spirit (which is the whole reason we are there in the first place right?) Not saying that the whole time you don't feel uplifted or inspired by these wonderful speakers and the messages that they are sharing, but it definitely felt out of place to clap after someone says, "In the name of Jesus Christ Amen." weird. I really liked Deanne Flynn. She spoke Saturday morning and did it in such a way that was entertaining and spiritual.
After TOFW we went to Ikea, so much fun. I ended up getting a little fabric, don't know what I am making yet but I will think of something after I get back from market, a wok, (sooo cheap) and a rolling clothes rack ( that we will use in the booth for market ) Can't wait, I am soooo excited!!
I only had my cell phone to use for pictures because my husband was taking the kids to a few birthday parties and was supposed to take pics for me, however he didn't soooooo I am linking you all over to my friend Rachel's blog. She takes fabulous pictures and has a wonderful over view of our weekend. Enjoy! ( I know I am lazy)

More fiction than science

I might be the biggest dork on the planet, but I just have to tell u all how much of a fantasy sci-fi junky I am. I absolutely loved Avatar. We just bought it and I watched it three times on the first day. I know right?

In other news the family is beginning to to fell better, everyone but Gabbi that is. She is still having the runs, vomiting off and on as well as a fever off and on, she is lethargic, pale and I suspect loosing a lot of weight. I have had enough and I will be taking her to the doctor in the morning, hopefully with a positive diagnosis. Other than that I have several sewing projects that I need to get started on for market, which means more Avatar. WAAA HOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Stomache bug anyone?

It's one thing to get sick, but when your a "mom" it feels like the whole world stops.

Gabbi has been battling some crazy bug for two weeks now. Diarrhea, puke, diarrhea, puke, diarrhea, and so on and so on. At first I thought it was her diet which mainly consists of juice, soy milk, and an assortment of table foods. First I pulled all the dairy products because we have had a precedence with allergies in our family, but it didn't seem to help so then I decided to cut back on the apple juice to see if that would help with the "runs" but nothing has seemed to help. Then I noticed she was cutting more teeth ( 8 total now) and someone told me teething can cause babies to have diarrhea. I didn't know that. None of my other kids have ever been affected like that. Well then I began to feel sick, I thought it was just because I had recently changed my BC pill so it would soon go away no worries, till last night that is. Now I am here to tell you we are battling a full fledged war against a raging stomach bug. UGGGGG!!!!!!
Poor Hannah came crying to my room early this morning saying "mommy I threw up in my bed". I love that when they want to snuggle they go to daddy, but when there is a mess to clean up they know just who to turn to! She is laid up in bed with cartoons, a sippy cup with juice, and a bucket just in case. And little Gabbi is on the mend, pale as a ghost, and a few pounds lighter ,which is scary because she is soo tiny to start. I am just praying that Lee and the other two kids can escape unscathed.

April Fools

How dare any of you believe that I am crazy enough to have a 5th child while in medical school. No I am NOT pregnant. :) This started out as a dumb prank lee pulled on me. I was shocked when I first saw it, I thought that I had logged onto someone else's blog. Anyways I thought it would be funny to try and catch him on one. No luck! However it was lots of fun to see everyone else react! Last night at our Easter party I had so many congratulations and hugs from well wishers. It was crazy. Maybe I should get pregnant again you get lots of attention. LOL So sorry to all!! When and IF the time comes we will definitely let everyone know. Thanks for all the love.

28 Reasons Why I Love Tiffany!

Today is my very best friend Tiffany's Birthday. In honor of her day I am listing the "28" reasons why she is the greatest BFF!

1. She will let me stop and get a Pepsi at a gas station (cause its my fave) even though she hates it.
2. She will sew all the Velcro and snaps onto my projects for me because she knows I don't like to do it.
3. She will write my cards for me, because her hand writing is cuter than mine.
4. She tells me I am a good mom even though I am yelling at my kids.
5. She is fabulous at making brownies, mine are terrible.
6. She is really good at seeing something she likes and then making it into something her own
7. She doesn't need a pattern to sew ANYTHING!
8. She lets me mother her and tell her how to do things even though secretly she already knows.
9. She may be short in stature but she knows how to command a room of presiding priesthood authority. :)
10. I can move all the way across the USA and she will not let me feel like I am being replaced
11. We love all the same T.V. shows
12. We can send 3500 plus texts a month about absolutely nothing
13. She thinks she has no patience, but that girl puts up with a lot more drama (having a house full of boys) than I would!
14. You get a lot of attention when you go out into public with her
15. She always apologizes for things even if they are your fault
16. She is taking me to quilt market in Minneapolis this May.
17. When we get together late at night she isn't afraid to act like we are still in high school.
(and it will probably still be that way when we are 60)
18. She is a great leader in the church. ( that is why they keep calling her)
19. She has the best hand me downs, or hand me ups. ( ha ha ha)
20. She puts up with my occasional short joke, even if they aren't very good.
21. We can video chat for hours and it only feels like minutes
22. She gives amazing support to anyone she is around even if she is miserable
23. She will come over and help fold my mounds of laundry just so we can hang out together
24. I will blow my entire monthly allowance in one trip, but she knows how to hold back and buy something only when she really really wants it.
25. She tried out for American Idol, totally cool
26. Looks super cute in flats, but will never buy them because she thinks they make her look short :)
27. Her favorite way to win an argument is " well my dad says"
28. And just for fun if a few of you didn't realize yes today is St. Patrick's Day and yes Tiffany is only 4 ft 8 in tall.
Disclaimer: ( Beware being friends has its privileges, while I may poke fun here and again, It will not be tolerated from any other person.) :) Tiffany you are such a great friend. You are as dear to me as any sister. You mean more to me than you realize. I hope our mansions in heaven are right next door at the end of a cult a sac. I love that we are completely opposite and come from ridiculously different backgrounds but ended up together. I love that we can finish each others sentences, and know each others deepest darkest secrets. I love that we might not talk for a few days but we can pick up in almost the exact same place and not feel awkward. I love that this sounds like a love letter to a boyfriend yet I can still write it about you. LOL I hope you have a great birthday. Thanks for being my best friend. I love you.

Spring Break

This is going to be my lazy spring break post.( I could go into a-lot more detail on how the weather was not as warm as we were expecting, or how we got lost trying to find Gator land, or how the hotel carpet smelled like old lady feet, or how my dad was shamelessly cheap, or how people in Orlando do not believe in car maintenance, because we couldn't find a lube shop any where so we had to go to Wal-mart (sorry Jeff), or how we were run off a plantation in Georgia, or that it took us three days to drive 14 hours home) Not much happened, just drove down to Florida, stayed for 5 days, went to Disney World, went to the beach, saw my dad (first time in over 8 years) took our time driving home. Kids had a blast. All in all a successful fun family vacation. Here are some pictures to tell the tales. I tried to keep them in chronological order as much as possible .
